This “S” turn section is located at the very end of Mel’s as it intersects the Trans Canada Trail and was becoming heavily eroded from mountain bikes as they braked hard into and through the corner. No burm was constructed to keep rider speed down as the trail enters the intersection. The corner in the back ground was later armored as well. The stairs on the inside of the turn had been built previously by the City of Burnaby.
